Phi Mu Alpha - Rho Tau Alumni Scholarship
To provide scholarships of $3,000 annually for up to three years (Beginning sophomore year). Criteria: undergraduate music major in their sophomore, junior, or senior year. Must be in good standing with a GPA of 3.0 or greater in music and 2.75 or greater overall. Must include an essay with the application.
Essay Prompt: Speak to the significance of camaraderie and collaboration in your professional development and career-making decisions.
Preference given to a brother of Rho Tau or a sister of Sigma Alpha Iota in good standing.
Finalists must participate in an interview with a panel consisting of three alumni brothers of the Rho Tau chapter, two HSOM faculty members, and a (non-voting) member of the HSoM Dean’s leadership team. The Hayes School of Music dean and associate dean are responsible for administering the fund and approving scholarship awards.
