Elizabeth Snow and Jeffrey Mick Scholarship in Business

The purpose of this fund is to supplement the endowment earnings from The Elizabeth Snow and Jeffrey Mick Endowed Scholarship in Business. It is the donor’s intent to provide four scholarships with the earnings from this endowment at a minimum of $3,000 per year. These
scholarships should be awarded as follows:

1. Two accounting students and two other students majoring in any major within the Walker College of Business. If there are multiple qualified applicants, preference shall accrue to applicants who demonstrate the highest financial need. Recipients must have a minimum
cumulative grade point average of 3.2. All four scholarships are to support a Junior or Senior and are renewable.
2. For the two accounting scholars, if the recipient is a senior who graduates at the end of the fall semester, the recipient shall receive the award for the spring semester provided the recipient is enrolled in the University’s Accounting graduate program during the spring semester.
3. If there is ever a point in time when the endowment earning payout out amount is greater than $3,000 for four students ($12,000), the excess payout shall be awarded in equal amounts to the four scholarship students.
4. If the scholarship amount exceeds 1/2 of total cost of attendance at Appalachian State, then another scholarship shall be awarded.
