Wilburn and Barbara Poovey Burgin Doctoral Current Scholarship

To provide scholarship support to a graduate student who resides in the western region of North Carolina and who is enrolled at Appalachian State University in pursuit of a doctoral degree within the Reich College of Education. It is the Donors’ desire that preference in the selection of scholarship recipients accrue to students who are currently employed as public administrators in grades kindergarten through Grade 12. Whenever possible, it is the Donors’ desire that recipients demonstrate financial need, although FAFSA verification is not required.
