Finley and Lillian Moore and the D. Frank and Gail Moore Memorial Endowed Scholarship in School Psychology
To provide scholarship support to qualified graduate students who are currently enrolled as full-time students, or those newly admitted to graduate school in the Appalachian State University Department of Psychology, and who are pursuing either a Master of Arts (MA) or a Specialist (SSP) in School Psychology. It is the Donor’s primary purpose to support those graduate students who demonstrate desire and potential to become public school psychologists. Candidates may submit an essay that describes their career aspirations, including, if applicable, a desire to seek professional licensure in North Carolina, prior work or volunteer experience with children or adolescents, personal interests and experiences suggestive of a desire to work in a field which involves individualized, therapeutic counseling with children or adolescents. Candidates are encouraged to provide references in support of their stated desire to work in the field of school psychology.
