2025 Loucks Summer Stipend Application

Dr. Jill Loucks was a member of the Anthropology faculty during the early 1980’s when she lost her life in a tragic automobile accident. Her family established an Appalachian State University Foundation fund and this memorial award in her name.

Small summer stipends are available on an annual basis to undergraduate majors pursuing academic interests in anthropology requiring additional expenses (such as travel to field schools, internship sites or conferences; registration fees, etc.). Decisions are based on the applicant’s academic and other relevant qualifications (e.g., extracurricular activities and training) and the significance of the purposed request.
